Difficulty Level: For an ADVANCED bag maker with a sewing machine capable of sewing thick layers. Advanced bag maker = individuals have made several bags before, have experience with curves and zippers, and knowledge on basic hardware. They are very confident with their machine and seam allowances.

Prep Work: There will be 8 to 12 hours prep work required at home before class. You will be cutting and fusing of interfacing and stabilizers for the full bag. Your class prep will be emailed to you after your purchase.

Techniques / Skills taught:

Tools Required: A rotary cutter, mat and gridded rulers are needed prior to class for prep, but not required on class day. You must have your own sewing machine, with a zipper foot, and basic sewing supplies. 

Pattern Required: The pattern is not included in the price of the class. You can purchase the PDF on the UhOh Creations website, or the printed paper version in our shop HERE.

Materials: Please choose materials recommended. Class results cannot be ensured if you stray from the material list on the pattern.

Class Details:

• Shortly after your purchase (by the next business day), we will send you an email with the downloadable class prep, and helpful links to the products & pattern.

Guidelines:

• Sewers must bring their own sewing machine, all materials, and equipment as outlined on the Class Prep sheet.
• Cutting table, ironing station, coffee and tea will be available.
• Class is between 9:00 am & 4:30 pm, with a 30 min lunch break at 12:00. You can leave for your lunch or bring a lunch to eat at your sewing table. You are welcome to sew on your own through the break if you choose to. Microwave available.
  
• If we don't have our class minimum 2 weeks before class, the class will be cancelled and fees refunded.
  
• There are no refunds on classes if you can't attend, but if you let us know at least 14 days before the class, we can issue you a store credit. If you let us know you can't make it, we will see if we have someone on the waiting list. 
• Please note that the 10% off on orders discount does not apply to classes.

SEWING MACHINE RENTALS:

We have 8 x bernette 08 Straight Stitch sewing machines for rent during Sewcial Sewing days and classes. These are high speed, heavy duty mechanical machines, equipped with an extension table. They work wonderful for bag making, and although they are powerhouse machines, they are not "industrial", making them very easy to use. Just thread and stitch! (Note: They are only straight stitch machines. Brief threading and usage instructions will be provided if required.) 

Included with rental: 

• Extension Table 
• 1 x Standard Straight Stitch Foot
• 1 x Zipper Foot (Other feet available upon request)
  
• 1 x Bobbin
• Screwdriver 

Requirements:

Only to be used with a thread weight of Tex 45 or under. (NOTE: Tex 70 thread can be used if it is bonded.) Use with Highspeed (HLx5) needles or any home sewing needle system (130/705 H), such as Schmetz needles. These are all sold in our shop.

To add the sewing machine rental to your sewing date, make sure you add BOTH the sewing date and then also the rental for the same date to your cart!!
